On the announcement Nokia"s lead designer Sungwoo Cho said:
The very human curves and the clean, fresh design make it very distinct from our competitors’ devices in this price range, and utterly modern despite a traditional form factor. We’re also extremely happy to be able to offer the Nokia 105 in cyan, as well as black. This is pretty unique at this price point.
The Nokia 105 also comes with pre-loaded with a few games and the Nokia Life service will be available in supported counties.
Product manager Tracy Chen told Nokia Conversations:
Nokia’s experience in optimising phone quality, combined with its global footprint and economies of scale, is a major contributor to being able to work to such a low price. We wanted to be able to offer a bit of fun, an extra surprise that provides a talking point for the owners.
Nokia also says this is the end of an era, with colour screens available at such low prices they are saying goodbye to black-and-white screens.
