Nokia Lumia 521 to launch on T-Mobile early on April 24th

Earlier this month, T-Mobile announced it would start selling the Windows Phone 8-based Nokia Lumia 521 sometime in May in the U.S. in its own stores along with Walmart and Microsoft Store locations. Now a new report claims that T-Mobile will start selling this smartphone a bit earlier than May.

TmoNews.com reports that they have received a leaked document from T-Mobile that shows the smartphone as going on sale on April 24th. The smartphone, a variant of the Nokia Lumia 520, will have a four-inch screen, 512 MB of RAM, 8 GB of storage, a five megapixel camera and support for 720p HD video recording. Pricing for the Lumia 521 has yet to be revealed, but it is expected to be on the low end of Windows Phone smartphones.

The same report also claims that the Nokia Lumia 810, which T-Mobile put on sale in November as one of its two debut Windows Phone 8 products, has apparently reached its EOL (End of Life) stage and will officially be taken out of T-Mobile"s smartphone lineup in May. This would seem to confirm the earlier reports which showed that the Lumia 810 was only available for sale on its website as a refurbished version.
