What? You didn’t seriously think that Nokia would be able to keep the cat in the bag, did you?
Despite teasing the new device in TV adverts yesterday, Nokia will have been hoping that it would be able to keep the newest addition to its Lumia line-up under wraps until its official announcement tomorrow, but alas, it was too much to hope for. The first (relatively) clear image of the Nokia Lumia 925 has been leaked by the usually reliable @evleaks Twitter account, revealing a sleek device that may well end criticisms of excessive weight in the company’s flagship handsets.
We’ve known about the Lumia 925 for some time, as the "Catwalk", a thin and light handset set in aluminium bodywork. It"s rumoured that the device will have specs that are broadly similar to those of the current flagship, the Lumia 920.
While we can"t yet confirm those details, we do know that Nokia"s teaser ad included the tagline "more than your eyes can see", along with lingering close-ups on the handset"s camera, so we can probably expect a strong focus on photography and the company"s PureView technology.
We"ll be reporting from tomorrow"s event to bring you the full details of the Lumia 925, along with clearer pics, hands-on impressions, and an interview with Kevin Shields, Nokia"s senior vice-president of product management.
