Nokia has now has now officially revealed the Lumia 928, its latest Windows Phone 8 product which will be sold by Verizon Wireless in the U.S. starting on May 16th. Just a few hours before the official announcement, the company released another video teaser for "the new Lumia" that takes us into the wilds of Canada.
The video, posted on YouTube, was reportedly filmed entirely with the Lumia 928 and its Pureview video camera, combined with its Optical Image Stabilization hardware. The smartphone was attached to a small remote controlled helicopter, which then proceeded to fly over the beautiful Canadian wilderness landscape. The footage that was captured during its journey really looks like something filmed for a nature documentary.
Nokia has previously pitted the Lumia 928 against the iPhone 5 and the Samsung Galaxy S III in a video contest, which was "won" by Nokia"s newest smartphone. The Lumia 928 is a variant of the previously released Lumia 920, with a new polycabornate body. The phone has a 4.5-inch display covered by Gorilla Glass, support for wireless charging and a new xenon flash for the camera to take better pictures in low light; Verizon will sell the Nokia Lumia 928 for $99 with a new two year contract.
