Nokia Lumia 928 slated for Verizon in a new aluminum body

We knew it was coming and it was only a matter of time before we learned more about Nokia’s plans to expand its flagship lineup beyond the confines of AT&T. It now looks like Verizon should be getting a variant of the lumia 9XX series in April and it will come in a new body.

The Verge is stating that Verizon will get a new lumia device, called the 928, in April and it will come in an aluminum body. In addition to the metal body, it will include a Xenon/LED flash and an 8 megapixel camera.

The device is stated to be 10.2mm at its thinnest point, for reference, the iPhone 5 is 7.6mm thick and will come with a 4.5in screen.

For Verizon, this will be another welcomed addition to their Windows Phone lineup that consists of the Lumia 822, HTC 8X and the Samsung Ativ Odyssey. The new Lumia will sit at the top of the class in terms of specs and we will be highly interested to see how Nokia prices this device when it lands at Verizon.

Microsoft will reportedly be marketing the device quite heavily when the phone does arrive on Verizon this spring.
