The latest report surrounding Nokia is that the company could hold a press event on April 19th, at which it could reveal some new Windows Phone 8.1 devices, such as the rumored Lumia 630.
This info comes from noted gadget news source "evleaks" on his Twitter page. He offers no other information on this piece of news, but if true we would assume the company could officially reveal the Lumia 630, along with another possible Windows Phone 8.1 device with the code name "Martini".
There are two things that are odd about Nokia holding such an event on April 19th. One is that date happens be on a Saturday, and it falls just before Easter Sunday this year. It would certainly be strange for a company to hold a press conference at that time.
The other thing is that Microsoft and Nokia are still scheduled to close the deal that will see Nokia"s smartphone division sold to Microsoft by the end of March. If Nokia is holding a press event on April 19th, it might be for something other than a smartphone product announcement. Of course, if the closing of the Microsoft-Nokia deal has been secretly delayed, Nokia may still be planning to release one or two more devices before it closes the agreement.
In other words, while "evleaks" has proven to be a reliable source of news, take his latest tidbit with a grain of salt.
