Information and images of the Nokia Lumia Icon have been leaking on the Internet for months, but so far the folks in Finland have yet to make an official announcement on what may be their final Windows Phone device. Today, the company"s U.S. branch posted a YouTube video teaser that may finally signal the end of their silence.
The brief 15 second clip displays a simple phrase, "Have you heard what"s coming?" while the sound of a rather loud car engine is heard in the background. The engine noise continues as the phrase changes to "See and hear what you"ve been missing" before ending on the Nokia and Windows Phone logos. It suggests that the device will have a strong audio component.
The clip doesn"t even offer a date for whatever they are planning to announce. However, the chances are extremely good that it will be the official reveal of the Nokia Lumia Icon, which is supposed to be an exclusive for Verizon Wireless in the U.S. The smartphone is rumored to have a 5-inch 1080p display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 quad-core 2.2GHz processor, 2GB of RAM, 32GB of onboard storage and a 20 megapixel PureView rear camera.
