Nuance releases Dragon Notes for Windows 7 and 8

Nuance is perhaps best known for their Dragon series of voice recognition software products. Today, the company launched a new product, Dragon Notes, that"s been designed to give a new spin on the familiar note programs such as Microsoft"s OneNote.

Nuance says that Dragon Notes organizes and collects quick notes, emails, lists and more via speaking into a microphone. Previous Dragon products have been designed for larger tasks such as work processing but it appears that Dragon Notes has been made to access and collect much shorter pieces of content.

While the software supports both Windows 7 and Windows 8, Nuance says that Dragon Notes has been optimized to work with Windows 8 touchscreen PCs. It states:

Dragon Notes takes full advantage of the Windows 8 touchscreen and tile interface – just tap the app and speak to save a note, share a post, send an email or search the web. Whip up a shopping list, share that great recipe via Facebook, or send an email of the action items coming out of a meeting – Dragon Notes even lets you search the Web.

Dragon Notes is now available for purchase and download from Nuance"s web site for $19.99. The software supports English only but language packs for Spanish and French can be bought for $9.99 each.
