It seems Nvidia has been quite busy working on its drivers lately, with its new Game Ready 385.41 WHQL driver bringing along optimizations for quite a number of games.
Starting off, this driver is recommended for anyone planning on playing the upcoming Destiny 2 PC beta, which is set to begin on August 28 for anyone who pre-orders the game, with everyone else getting access on August 29.
The driver also optimizes the immensely popular early access game, PlayerUnknown"s Battlegrounds, The game recently received the ShadowPlay Highlights feature, where the Nvidia capture software automatically records useful instances such as kills, deaths and round wins for easy editing later.
In addition to the above games, the driver brings along optimizations for Quake Champions" new early access edition, ARK: Survival Evolved"s long awaited official release (August 29), as well as Pro Evolution Soccer 2018 (September 12), and lastly F1 2017 (August 25).
New or updated SLI profiles have also arrived for the following games with the driver:
- Destiny 2
- Lawbreakers
- ARK: Survival Evolved
- Starpoint Gemini Warlords
- Faith of Danschant
- Secret World Legends.
Possibly due to the amount of games being optimized in this driver, only a single issue has received a fix, that being a frame rate dropping problem in Quantum Break for GTX 970 graphics cards.
The 385.41 WHQL driver can now be downloaded via the GeForce Experience Windows app or by using the links listed below, with its release notes found here.
