Nvidia RTX 3090 SUPER with 10,752 cores or full GA102 chip might be in the works

Nvidia might be preparing a new GPU, a flagship, dubbed the RTX 3090 SUPER according to Twitter leakster Greymon55. The GPU allegedly will pack 10,752 CUDA cores and this means the purported new 3090 SUPER would feature the full-fat GA102 GPU chip. Nvidia uses the cut-down "GA102-300-A1" version of the GA102 in the RTX 3090 which is currently the flagship graphics card in its Ampere gaming cards lineup.

There doesn"t seem to be any information related to memory yet. However, the GA102 features a 384-bit bus and it might be unlikely for Nvidia to change it since it seems to provide ample bandwidth. Also apparently the card will feature a 400W+ total graphics power (TGP) which is actually believable if such a thing indeed exists.

Interestingly, Nvidia hasn"t used the SUPER moniker this time with any of its RTX 3000 GPUs that it had unveiled with its RTX 20 series cards.

Although this is the first time the full GA102 chip might be introduced to gamers, the company has already launched a workstation card dubbed the RTX A6000 which features the full GPU with 10,752 CUDA Cores and 48GB GDDR6 memory.
