Our friends at amdzone.com filed a story that Nvidia will drop its initial March plans to introduce two new chipsets called Nforce 620/615.
I was able to actually see this chipset in action running one of my favourite games Serious Sam, and everybody at Nvidia including its head marketeer Dan Vivoli was giving it every encouragement.
And just at the time we were supposed to see some samples, we now learn suddenly that Nvidia has different plans and has dropped the chipsets.
And what"s the reasoning here, given that the boards would have had all the major things that you would expect from next generation motherboards including USB 2.0, ATA 133 and of course AGP 8X?
Apparently someone at Nvidia sensed that this could put the company in the position of product overlap, making it harder to sell new products.
