Many folks have been very anxiously waiting for Grand Theft Auto V to finally launch, and while for some that launch is imminent, us PC enthusiasts still have a while to go.
GTA V is launching on the PS3 and Xbox 360 on September 17th but there’s no word on when a PC version might hit markets. Earlier this week we all got excited when an Nvidia exec seemed to mistakenly unveil that a PC version of the popular third person shooter was indeed coming this fall.
Unfortunately Nvidia has officially backtracked on its statement saying that the inclusion of GTA V in the list of upcoming PC games was simply done to emphasize their point rather than unveil a launch date.
This statement was made with the intent of expressing enthusiasm for the games industry in general, and was not intended to represent specific knowledge possessed by NVIDIA. NVIDIA does not have information on any possible PC version release of Grand Theft Auto or its availability. We deeply regret the error.
So there you have it folks, there’s still a while to go before we find out anything official about the PC version of the latest GTA. Though we still have today"s multiplayer reveal to look forward to.
