The upcoming Obsidian developed survival game, Grounded, will have a limited-time demo available for players on PC and Xbox One next month. The demo will be made available via the Xbox Insider Hub and Steam from June 9 through 14.
The announcement said that this is an early version of the game being offered where players can experience "one day in the life of Grounded’s single-player campaign." The early access launch with multiplayer capabilities is still coming later on.
Interested Xbox One and Windows 10 players will need to be Xbox Insiders to join in on the game"s miniaturized action, and the former group might want to make haste. There will only be a limited number of slots for this session, so players will be invited on a first-come first-serve basis. On the other hand, PC players will also have Steam as an option if a slot doesn"t materialize.
Obsidian is joining the Steam Game Festival to offer the same Grounded single-player demo simultaneously through the event. The Valve hosted event kicks off on June 9, giving Steam users closer looks at a host of upcoming games through demos until June 14.
Grounded is scheduled to hit Xbox Game Preview and Steam Early Access programs on July 28. While the Steam version will arrive with a standard price tag, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members on Xbox One and PC will receive the Xbox Game Preview version as part of the subscription.
