Microsoft is rolling out a new build of the Office apps for Mac for users who have opted into the Slow ring of the Insider program. The new release comes in at version number 16.27, with build number 190708. The new build includes some previously announced features such as Dynamic Arrays in Excel.
In addition to Dynamic Arrays, Excel is getting the ability to refresh data for Power Query queries into text, XLSX, XML, and JSON files. It"s also not possible to disable automatic date grouping in tables.
Outlook is also getting some improvements as well, starting with the ability to send e-mails into a OneNote notebook. It"s also now possible to attach files from Microsoft"s cloud storage services, including OneDrive, OneDrive for Business, and SharePoint.
Word, for its part, is getting support for real-time collaboration on documents that contain macros, and it has improved support for High Sierra accessibility features. Word, Excel, and PowerPoint all now have better integration between Filled maps and Geographic data types, and it"s now possible to map city polygons.
The new Insider build should now be available to those in the Slow ring, and it should make its way to you soon if it hasn"t already.
