Today, Microsoft released updates for its OneNote app on Android, for both production users and beta testers. For standard production users, the update is a fairly small one, offering the ability to sign in with just your phone number, along with bug fixes.
Beta testers, however, are getting Office Lens integration. This means that you can use it to scan documents, business cards, and whiteboards with your smartphone"s camera. Users can take the picture from any angle, and the app will automatically straighten it out and crop the image.
According to the Google Play Store, OneNote has been downloaded over 100 million times, and as of the time of this writing, it has an average rating of 4.3 out of five stars, with over 230,000 five-star reviews. You can find it on the Play Store here, where you can also sign up to receive beta updates instead.
If you"re not feeling brave enough to go for the beta, don"t worry. Office Lens functionality will likely come to production users within a couple of weeks.
