During the past two years, Microsoft has been bringing its software to every major platform including Amazon"s Fire tablets and even Office on iPads / Android tablets. The next stop on the tour of bringing software to all of the popular platforms is the Pebble smartwatch.
In response to a question on Twitter, the OneNote team responded to a question if they would be building an app for the Pebble with "It"s definitely in the pipeline, stay tuned!"
It shouldn"t come as a major surprise that the app will be headed to the platform as the Pebble brand of watches has proven to be popular with consumers and keeping in-line with their expectations of being where the consumers are, that means porting OneNote to the Pebble watch. While they are not saying when it will arrive, the fact that they are saying that it is in the pipeline publicly means you hopefully shouldn"t have to wait too much longer.
OneNote is Microsoft"s note taking application that is deeply integrated into the Surface line of tablets and Edge too. With apps on nearly every device available, the company wants to make sure that its note taking applications is available to all users no matter the device they choose.
[Update] Microsoft has clarified that the tweet above did not mean that an app was coming soon for the Pebble watch and meant that OneNote is available for wearables. The only officially supported smartwatches are the Apple Watch and Android Wear devices.
Thanks for the tip Brendan!
