OnePlus managed to begin the global rollout of Android 7.0 Nougat for the OnePlus 3 and 3T just as the year ended with OxygenOS 4.0. The company also released a couple of minor updates last month, but none of them featured Android 7.1.1. Now, it seems that the Chinese manufacturer has made a beta build of the latest version of Android available in its home country.
A post spotted on a Chinese OnePlus forum has revealed that an Android 7.1.1-based build of the HydrogenOS is now available for testing from the H2OS website. The build also features the March 2017 security update for Android, which means it is a very recent version of the OS that is being used by the company.
The size of the pre-release update is about 1.3 GB for both the devices, and it will likely be similar for the international variants. Since, HydrogenOS is a bit different from its international counterpart, OxygenOS, it might take some time till we see a similar build for rest of the world. However, enthusiasts who are already using HydrogenOS can try out the latest version of Android on their OnePlus 3 or 3T.
