OnePlus 3 discontinued in the US and EU to make way for the OnePlus 3T

After a few weeks of rumors, OnePlus finally unveiled its latest handset, the OnePlus 3T. Although not a completely new product, the 3T does offer valuable upgrades in comparison to the original OnePlus 3, but does so at a slightly higher price starting at $439.

Although there were early rumors that OnePlus would be killing off the "3" in favor of something new, it was thought to be more due to a supply issue with its AMOLED panel. A new offering with an LCD panel would have fixed this but, as we now know, OnePlus simply halted production of the OnePlus 3, to make way for its successor. According to Android Authority, they have received confirmation from the company that "3" would no longer be sold in the US and EU.

The OnePlus "3T" will be priced at $439 USD for the 64GB and $479 for the 128GB model. The handset will be available in the US on November 22nd, and the EU starting November 28th.
