Last week, OnePlus unveiled the 3T, its new high-end handset with a Snapdragon 821 SoC. But while the previous OnePlus 3 has been discontinued in some markets to make way for the new device, the company is continuing to deliver updates for it.
Today, OnePlus announced the rollout of OxygenOS 3.2.8 for the 3, bringing a range of additions and improvements, including:
- Added 1080P 60FPS video recording
- Added emergency calling for India (Triple press of power button to trigger)
- Optimization of Snapchat, fixed video calling and scrolling lags
- Increased system stability
- General bug fixes
While the rollout has begun, it may be a little while before it makes its way to all OnePlus 3 handsets. The company said that the update "will reach a small percentage of users today, and we"ll begin a broader rollout in a few days."
This latest OxygenOS update is based on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow, rather than Google"s latest Android 7.0 Nougat release. However, OnePlus has said that both the 3 and 3T should be upgraded to Nougat before the end of the year.
