Before it was even announced, OnePlus stated that the 5T would not have wireless charging because it believed its own Dash Charge offered a better experience. So it comes as no surprise that the firm has released a comparison video, showing off just how much better Dash Charge is compared to the competitors" offerings.
In the new video posted to YouTube, OnePlus pits its 5T against Apple"s iPhone 8 Plus, Samsung"s Galaxy S8+ and Google"s Pixel 2 XL. The test shows just how much each handset can charge in a 30 minute period while the screen is on. As you might expect, the OnePlus 5T runs circles around its challengers, charging up to 57 percent, while none of the other handsets even make it to 20 percent.
This isn"t the first time OnePlus has touted Dash Charge, with the company previously showing off its superior charging technology against the Samsung Galaxy S8 and Google Pixel XL during real use scenarios like navigating while using GPS. The OnePlus 5T is now available starting at $499 for the 64GB model and $559 for the 128GB variant.
