It seems that we might finally have a date for the unveiling of the OnePlus 6. The handset has been making the rounds through leaks and official teasers but could see an official reveal at the beginning of May.
According to a source, the image you see in the article is of a poster belonging to JingDong Mall formerly called 360buy, a retailer based in China. The poster does state that the OnePlus 6 will make its debut in China on May 5 at 2pm.
Despite the good news, there are some things to be aware of. For instance, the poster has not been officially released to the public and that the text in the image may look a bit suspicious due to compression artifacts. While it would be great to see the successor to the OnePlus 5T announced in a few weeks time, caution must be exercised when taking in this kind of information.
We have seen what the handset will potentially look like, with a cutout on the top of the display confirmed, and it could also arrive in a variety of colors. Hopefully, we won"t have to wait too long to find out.
