We"re entering smartphone season, with major companies set to release their flagship phones in the coming weeks and months. Among those is OnePlus, which is expected to announce the refreshed variants of the OnePlus 7 series soon.
According to a tweet from leaker Ishan Agarwal, the company will keep using the two-model strategy, meaning we"ll see a OnePlus 7T and 7T Pro. The phones will apparently be announced on September 26 in New Delhi. The tweet also includes some information about the lower-end model, suggesting that it will pack Qualcomm"s new Snapdragon 855 Plus, have 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage.
Perhaps more interesting is the fact that it looks like OnePlus will be bringing a 1440p 90Hz to the cheaper model, whereas it was previously exclusive to the OnePlus 7 Pro. It still has a notch, but it will be smaller than the one on the OnePlus 7, according to the tweet.
As seen in previously leaked renders, the phone will have a circular camera module with three lenses - a 48MP main sensor, accompanied by 16MP and 12MP cameras. The cameras will also support Nightscape, wide-angle video and 960fps slow-motion capture.
With the 90Hz display coming to the cheaper model, it"ll be interesting to see how OnePlus differentiates the Pro model this time around. Agarwal has said information on the Pro model will be coming soon.
