OnePlus 7T unboxing and first impressions

Earlier this week, OnePlus announced its new flagship phone, the OnePlus 7T. Unlike the previous one that came out this spring, there"s no OnePlus 7T Pro, or at least there isn"t one yet. What"s cool about the 7T though is that it takes the best of the OnePlus 7 Pro, and it even makes some of it better.

The best of the 7 Pro was its 90Hz AMOLED display, which is now on the non-Pro model. It"s 1080p instead of 1440p, but that will likely mean better battery life. The display is flat too, so if you"re not a fan of curved edges (I"m not), then you"ll love this device.

And of course, it has an all-new design with a circular camera module. There are once again three camera lenses, with the main 48MP f/1.6 sensor, a 12MP 2x zoom lens, and a 16MP wide-angle lens.

The color that OnePlus sent me is called Glacier Blue, as opposed to the darker Nebula Blue that"s on the OnePlus 7 Pro. I"m going to start comparing it to flavors of Gatorade. Also notable is that the 7T includes Qualcomm"s newest chipset, the Snapdragon 855+, an SoC that"s designed for gaming phones. That comes alongside of 8GB RAM.
