OnePlus confirms the display specs for the Nord 2

OnePlus officially confirmed the existence of the Nord 2 last week, along with a few details about its innards. Corroborating a previous rumor, the company said its upcoming mid-range phone will be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 1200 AI processor, featuring a bunch of artificial intelligence capabilities designed to bring improvements to imaging, display, and gaming experience.

In yet another drip-feed of information, as was the case with earlier OnePlus phones, the company today revealed new information about the Nord 2, this time concerning its display. In a tweet, OnePlus confirmed that the handset will sport a 6.43-inch Fluid AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate and HDR10+ certification.

Nord 2 comes with a 6.43 inch 90 Hz Fluid AMOLED display that swipes so smooth you’ll think your fingers are dancing ballet. And it’s HDR 10+ certified.

Today"s news is unsurprising, at the very least. If there"s anything noteworthy about the phone"s display, it is its stark similarity to the original Nord"s screen. As a quick recap, the 2020 Nord came with a 6.44-inch AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate and HDR10+ support.

On the other hand, the Chinese phone maker did not mention the screen resolution for the Nord 2. Presumably, however, it could feature the same FullHD+ resolution as its predecessor. OnePlus is yet to reveal details in other areas such as the camera and battery life, among others, but these pieces of information are expected to surface in the lead-up to the phone"s official unveiling.
