OnePlus has sent out invites for a special event at CES 2020. The premier consumer electronics trade show will be held in Las Vegas from January 7 to January 10 in Las Vegas.
OnePlus has never really held an event at CES so far and it is unclear what the company will announce at the event. Since CES is primarily known for big TV and other consumer electronic launches, it is possible that the company will announce its OnePlus TV for the international markets at the event.
OnePlus announced the OnePlus TV in India towards the end of September this year. The TV is so far exclusively available only in India, but it is possible that OnePlus is now looking to bring it to international markets.
There are two models of OnePlus TV and they both run on Android TV. Both the models feature a 55-inch 4K QLED display with Dolby Vision HDR support. They also come with a 50W set of speakers and Dolby Atmos support. On the more expensive Q1 Pro model, the speakers are integrated into a soundbar that slides out from the bottom of the TV. The bundled OnePlus remote with the TV has a dedicated Google Assistant button for quick access to the digital assistant.
The possibility of OnePlus launching the recently leaked OnePlus 8 Lite at its CES event is slim since the company is not known to launch smartphones so early in the year.
