Starting in June, Chinese smartphone maker OnePlus built up a lot of hype for its latest smartphone, the OnePlus Nord. After a lot of teasing, the mid-range device was finally announced through an AR event - the first of its kind - on July 21, 2020. Today pre-bookings for the OnePlus Nord went live in India. Customers can either pre-purchase the phone beforehand or buy it on August 4 when it goes on sale.
Moving on to the available variants and their respective price tags, customers can choose between three options. The first is the Gray Onyx version with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage which is priced at ₹29,999.00 (~$400). The second option offers the same color, Gray Onyx, and 8GB of RAM coupled with 128GB of internal storage costing ₹27,999.00 (~$374). Finally, the third and last variant is available in the Marble Blue shade with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage priced at ₹27,999.00 (~$374).
Technical specifications of the OnePlus Nord include a 6.44-inch Fluid AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate, a 32MP front camera coupled with an 8MP ultra-wide lens and a quad-camera setup on the back. The rear cameras include a 48MP Sony IMX586 sensor with OIS, an 8MP ultra-wide, a 5MP macro and a 2MP depth sensor. The smartphone is powered by the Snapdragon 765G and runs OxygenOS 10 layered on Android 10 out-the-box. It also has a 4115mAh battery and supports Warp Charge 30T.
The base model for the OnePlus Nord is noticeably missing from the pre-booking listings. This is because that variant will only be available in September and will be priced at ₹24,999.00 (~$339).
