OnePlus releases its latest Android 7.0 Nougat update for the 3 and 3T

Last month, OnePlus began rolling out its OxygenOS 4.0 update, based on Android 7.0 Nougat, for its 3 and 3T flagships. Just over a week later, it released a further update, version 4.0.1, bringing various bug fixes, along with some known issues.

It"s now released another update, OxygenOS 4.0.2, for the 3 and 3T. As you would expect from the incremental increase in the version number, 4.0.2 doesn"t bring any major new features, but it does offer "increased system stability", and the company says it"s "fixed [the] Google Play Store download bug" that was present in version 4.0.1.

However, the release notes for the latest update caution that some users may still have trouble downloading from Google Play under one specific circumstance, as well as drawing attention to a further known issue:

  • If you are trying to download from Play Store via data roaming, it will not work. This is a known Google issue.
  • WiFi connectivity might still fluctuate, if you experience this issue, please send me a pm.

The update is now rolling out "incrementally", so it may take some time before it"s eventually made available to all OnePlus 3 and 3T handsets in the days ahead.
