After officially confirming the OnePlus TV last month, OnePlus has revealed a controller to go with the set. The company"s Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Pete Lau, unveiled today the OnePlus TV remote via Twitter.
From the image, it is easy to tell the basic functions of the buttons. Of course, the remote still has the typical menu key, a vertical button for going back and home, a button with the OnePlus logo, a dedicated Google Assistant key, and another blank one, which makes this reveal quite a bit of a teaser. On its right side is the volume rocker.
By looking at the remote"s bottom, one can tell that the controller will charge over a USB Type-C port, as confirmed by Lau himself in response to a Twitter user. At the top of these individual keys sits a navigational key, which could be either a touchpad or directional pad.
If the remote looks familiar to you, that is because it resembles the Siri Remote (formerly Apple Remote) at least in terms of the design, shape, and key arrangement, as noted by 9to5Google. But unlike the Siri Remote, OnePlus" will apparently come with hard tactile keys so it will be easy to tell which button your finger is pressing.
