Opera has rolled out a developer update for their flagship product, which includes plenty of fixes, but also brings a few known issues to those running it on macOS.
Changelog:
[HiDPI] Checkboxes were misplaced and badly scaled.
[HiDPI] Auto-filing was totally misplaced after DPI change.
[HiDPI] Dragging a tab makes screen flashing after DPI change.
[HiDPI] O-menu’s context menu’s borders were missing.

One of the more notable features introduced into Opera 49 is the possibility to arrange your extension icons in the toolbar, as seen in the GIF at the top of this post, a feature that has been available in Chrome since version 51.0.2704.63, which was released in May 2016. Opera notes that the previous behavior was to display extensions in the order of their installation date. It"s currently unknown if you can "hide" an extension icon to the menu, so let us know in the comments if you install it.
Furthermore, Opera warns that as far as known issues go:
"[...] on macOS, the removal of suggestions in the address bar is not aligned with the Windows and Linux implementation. Also, it doesn’t adjust properly to theme changes."
