Opera Touch's Flow now lets you send files between devices

Opera has announced that it’s Touch browser is now able to send files including photos, PDFs, and zip files to desktop using the Flow syncing too. Unfortunately, the feature has a file size limit of just 10 MB, but if you just need to share small documents then the feature is pretty handy and saves looking around for a file transfer service.

Opera’s solution has the major benefit that it works across most platforms including Windows, macOS, Linux, Android, and iOS. The feature can be accessed in Opera Touch by going to the My Flow section and pressing the upload button. On desktop, you can find the My Flow button on the sidebar. Transferred files will be accessible from the My Flow section on all your other devices and you’ll get 48 hours to download the file before it’s deleted from Opera’s cloud.

In terms of privacy, the file is kept on Opera’s cloud for 48 hours. According to the firm’s privacy statement, data stored on Flow is “protected with end-to-end encryption” and is only retained while you use the feature. This means it should be safe to share sensitive documents on Flow but if you’re still a bit wary then it’s best to transfer those offline.

To start using the new feature just grab the latest version of Opera Touch from the Play Store or from the App Store. The browser is available for most Android devices, iPhone, and iPad.
