Opera is finally making one of the best features of its desktop browser available to all users of its mobile app on Android: a built-in VPN. The feature was previously being tested in the beta version of the app, and the company will now start pushing it to the stable channel as well.
Data traffic through Opera"s VPN will feature 256-bit encryption, and the company also wants to assure users that it won"t keep any logs of your activity. In addition to the built-in ad-tracking blocker the app has had for quite a while now, Opera for Android should be quite an appealing option for privacy-minded users.
The choice of locations on offer for users is likely to be limited to only servers in Europe, America and Asia, if the beta was anything to go by. Version 51 of the app should start being pushed to your Play Store soon, and you can also download the app yourself here. If you"re looking for a new mobile browser, you may also want to check out the company"s Opera Touch, which last year won the Red Dot Design Award for its intuitive design and user interface.
