Orange SPV C500 launches in UK

The smallest smartphone in the world has officially launched here in the UK today. However amongst all the fanfare and celebrations from people waiting for this phone, no-one can order it. Orange are experiencing technical problems on their databases resulting in their sales staff getting an "out of stock" message even though the phone launched today and the system alerts sales people that stocks are available. Orange has been experiencing a lot of technical problems recently following on from last weeks network outage for users of certain SIM cards.

As for the C500, it"s a vast improvement on previous SPVs which have been lacking in battery life, call quality and good looks. The C500 takes smartphones in the right direction. Rumours are that the device has a battery standby of nearly 5 days which is a big improvement on the full charge per day of the E200. The C500 comes with the standard Bluetooth, infared, GPRS connections and Microsoft"s Windows Mobile 2003 Second Edition. The device will also take mini SD cards and has 64mb onboard storage. We will be bringing you a full review of the SPV C500 as soon as Orange ship us a device to test. Keep your eyes peeled.
