As Quakecon continues with new looks at Bethesda games and id Software"s upcoming Doom Eternal, it was also announced that the original Doom games that started it all are now available on more modern platforms natively.
Celebrating the 25th anniversary of the series, Doom, Doom II, and Doom 3 have now released on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch. Meanwhile, Android and iOS users can now play Doom and Doom II on their devices, but sadly they will be missing out on the third game.
1993"s Doom costs $4.99 and arrives with The Flesh Consumed expansion that adds on 9 additional levels. 4-player split-screen local deathmatch and co-op modes are also included. The 1994-released sequel Doom II is also priced at $4.99 on the new platforms, coming with the 20 additional Master Levels along with the same aforementioned 4-player local capabilities.
And lastly, the re-release of Doom 3 - originally from 2004 - comes in at $9.99, which has the Resurrection of Evil and The Lost Missions expansions included in the package. It appears players will need a Bethesda.net account to play these classic games after purchasing them, however.
