Outlook has been evolving over the course of a year - the service has revamped the inbox, added new ways to collaborate and improved the mobile experience. Today, Microsoft is adding a plethora of much needed service integration to its popular email service.
Nearly four months after its announcement, Microsoft has finally made the new partner plug-ins available for some Outlook users. For starters, Outlook will now support Uber, PayPal, Evernote, and Boomerang. Currently, a majority of the features will be restricted to users of Outlook 2013, Office 365 and Exchange 2013. Those using the new Outlook.com will have to wait a couple months to activate Uber, PayPal, Evernote, and Boomerang.
Naturally, Microsoft has more partners in place to make the Outlook service even better and has also announced plans to support IFTTT, Yelp and Wunderlist. Although announced, Microsoft did not offer a date as to when the aforementioned partner plug-ins would be activated in Outlook.
