Xbox Game Pass subscribers will soon have a new game to play the day it launches. Microsoft and Square Enix today revealed that Outriders will be available on the subscription for Xbox console owners (Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S) and via Xbox Game Pass Ultimate cloud gaming for Android users on April 1. Unfortunately, it seems like the PC subscription will be missing out on the release, at least for now.
This upcoming third-person shooter RPG from People Can Fly takes place on an alien planet where humanity has gone for colonization purposes, but ends up getting superpowers instead. As for combat, there are four classes with unique abilities, such as Pyromancy and Technomancy, that come with their own skill trees, as well as traditional weapons and gear with a modding system, all for taking down alien monsters.
The game can be played together by up to three players for a co-op RPG experience. Cross-play is also a feature, letting players across all platforms join together for playthroughs.
Outriders will be launching on April 1 across PC (Steam and Epic Games Store, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Stadia. Those who want to jump in using Microsoft"s subscription service will require the Xbox Game Pass for Console or the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate membership.
