OxygenOS Open Beta 7 arrives for the OnePlus 6; featuring OnePlus Roaming and Video Enhancer

The OnePlus 6 that was released earlier this year will be offered for a discounted price tomorrow, with the firm knocking $100 off original prices. While it might not be its latest model, the company has continued to deliver updates, with the firm releasing a new version of its Open Beta of OxygenOS.

Perhaps the two most important things about the new update are the Video Enhancer feature and OnePlus Roaming. The Video Enhancer option can be found in the Display settings and can be used to enhance the colors for videos that are being watched on the device.

OnePlus Roaming is a bit more unique, offering users the ability to activate service in a new location without the need for a SIM card. It will work in most countries and will list out available plans for the region. After selecting your plan, you will have the ability to access data in that area without a SIM card. In order to enable this, you will have to head into the Wi-FI and Internet setting, and turn on OnePlus Roaming.

As far as other changes in the new update, you can see them down below.

Communication

  • Added vibration when hanging up
  • UI Improvements for emergency rescue
  • Now able to assign a specific SIM for a specific contact or group of contacts when using dual SIM

Launcher

  • Added User Agreement and Privacy Policy
  • App drawer options under launcher settings
  • General bug fixes and performance improvements

As you can probably gather, this is beta software, so things can go wrong. If you are thinking about loading this version to your device, be sure to back up your data and follow the directions carefully.
