Paul McCartney, Microsoft and Capitol Records today announced that behind-the-scenes footage of Paul McCartney"s rehearsal for the upcoming "Concert For New York," a concert to benefit the victims of the Sept. 11 attack, will be posted on MSN Music (https://music.msn.com/), WindowsMedia.com (https://WindowsMedia.com/) and (https://www.paulmccartney.com/) moments after his rehearsal.
The Internet-first, exclusive rehearsal footage will be available beginning today and continuing through Friday, Oct. 19. In addition, fans will have an opportunity to chat with the legendary Beatle at paulmccartney.com on Thursday, Oct. 18 and Friday, Oct. 19. This Internet special also will give fans the chance to hear two new songs from McCartney"s upcoming release "Driving Rain."
The behind-the-scenes footage will be taped onsite at McCartney"s rehearsal for the upcoming "Concert for New York," a one-night-only fund-raising event to benefit the victims of the Sept. 11th terrorist attacks on New York City. The concert will also pay tribute to the rescue workers who worked tirelessly to save the lives of others. "The Concert for New York" is set to air live on VH1 from Madison Square Garden on Saturday, Oct. 20.
Fans will also opportunity to hear two new songs from McCartney"s upcoming release, "Driving Rain." "Driving Rain" is the first studio album of new songs from Paul McCartney in four years and will be released by Capitol Records on Nov. 13. These two songs include the album"s first single, "From A Lover To Friend," which is also the title track in the upcoming feature film "Vanilla Sky," and the new song "Lonely Road," which McCartney recorded in a hotel room in Goa.
