One of the biggest names in pop music has announced he is getting into the game business. Paul McCartney has revealed he is working with game developer Bungie on their next game project, which technically is still unannounced.
In his Twitter post, McCartney states, "I’m really excited to be working on writing music with @ bungie , the studio that made Halo." It includes a picture of McCartney, apparently showing some hand emotion, with Bungie"s long time music composer Marty O"Donnell.
While Bungie has not revealed any information on its own about its next game, court documents revealed the contracts between Bungie and the game"s publisher Activision earlier this year. Those contracts showed plans to launch a game with the code name Destiny, described as a "sci-fantasy, action shooter game" with MMO elements.
According to the contracts, the first game in a trilogy of titles is scheduled to be released in 2013 for the Xbox 360 console, along with the next version of the Xbox. Upcoming games in the series are supposed to be released for the PS3, the next version of the Playstation and the PC.
The Halo series, which was created by Bungie, is now in the hands of Microsoft who will launch Halo 4 this fall for the Xbox 360.
