PayPal Checkout with Smart Payment Buttons rolls out globally for seamless payments

PayPal has announced the global rollout of PayPal Checkout with Smart Payment Buttons, this follows its deployment earlier this year for users in several countries. With Smart Payment Buttons, businesses can drive more sales as shoppers can pay with PayPal without even leaving the retailers website, making a transaction more likely.

In addition, PayPal announced the launch of PayPal Marketing Solutions in some more international markets following its rollout in the U.S. late last year. According to the firm, PayPal Marketing Solutions gives businesses new tools to increase sales including unique shopper insights, and customisable incentives from PayPal for business websites at no extra cost.

Discussing the news, Bill Ready, EVP & Chief Operating Officer, said:

“Until now, only the very largest ecommerce companies had access to tools like this, but as part of our mission to democratize access to powerful commerce tools, we’re now enabling this for businesses of all sizes around the world. We are constantly working to build the tools that will help businesses of all sizes enable better experiences for their customers so they can more effectively compete, in turn, fostering a vibrant and thriving retail ecosystem.”

According to a comScore study, sites that accept PayPal Checkout saw an overall conversion rate of 61%, while those that did not include the option on saw a conversion rate of 41.3%.
