Even as gamers get ready for the next Call of Duty title to be released later this fall, players of 2011"s Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III will get one last multiplayer map pack to download for the PC version.
In a post on its Facebook page, developer Infinity Ward confirmed that Final Assault, the fourth and final map pack for its modern military shooter, will be released for PC owners on October 10th, along with the PS3 port. The map pack was first released for Xbox 360 owners a few weeks ago.
The map pack, which will cost $15 to download, will add five new multiplayer levels: Decommission, Off Shore, Gulch (shown above), Boardwalk, and Paris.
While that will be it for new Modern Warfare III content, PC gamers will be able to purchase Call of Duty: Black Ops II, from developer Treyarch, on November 13th. The PC version will get a number of graphical enhancements compared to the console versions, including DirectX 11 support. However, the PC version will also be the first game in the series that will not be able to run on the aging Windows XP operating system.
