Pipo's 'X9' is one of the most unique Windows 10 hybrid tablet PCs to date

Earlier this year, Pipo unveiled the "X8" "Windows TV box + desktop tablet". Although it had an unconventional design, it looks like Pipo is ready to release a follow up to the unique device, which is dubbed the "X9".

As you can see from the image above, the "X9" looks to follow in the footsteps of its predecessor and will offer a unique form factor that can only be described as a tablet, that is permanently connected to a docking station. The X9 does offer some flexibility, as it can be booted into Windows 10 and Android 4.4. Although the X9 does share some features of a tablet, the device is not meant to be portable, as it offers no battery solution.

The full specification for the Pipo X9 are below:

  • Windows 10 & Android 4.4 dual OS
  • 8.9-inch 1920 x 1200 LCD display
  • Intel Z3736F Quad-Core up to 1.83GHz
  • 2GB DDR3L RAM + 32GB ROM
  • Intel HD Graphics
  • Support Bluetooth 4.0
  • 802.11b/g/n LAN
  • Built-in Speaker and Mic

For those looking for something unique, the Pipo X9 is currently available for preorder, and sells for a reasonable price of $134 USD. The X9 will ship starting some time in October.
