The developers responsible for recent construction and management hits Planet Coaster and Jurassic World Evolution Frontier Developments announced Planet Zoo today which, as should be evident by its name, is a modern zoo simulation title.
The PC exclusive game will task players will building zoos where "animal welfare and conservation comes first," featuring a wide selection of detailed animals that will react to their surrounding environments as well as other animals for social needs. Players will also be able to nurture and eventually release exotic animals back to their natural habitats to bring up their population numbers.
There will also be terraforming tools to craft land to players" tastes, from making lakes to mountains and tunnels, with options to share completed creations with other players in the community.
Calling this the studio"s "best-ever simulation game," Frontier chief creative officer Jonny Watts added:
"This is the zoo management game we’ve wanted to make for many years. We’ve challenged ourselves to build on the games we’ve made before and to carry the great legacy of classics like the Zoo Tycoon series forward."
Planet Zoo doesn"t have a fixed release date just yet but is slated to launch sometime in Autumn 2019. The game"s Steam store page is already up and running as well.
