The PlayStation 4 is slated to receive another post-apocalyptic title next year in the form of Days Gone, but fans will have to wait a bit longer than expected to jump into the game. In a blog post detailing the statuses of upcoming PlayStation 4 exclusives, Sony revealed today that Days Gone has been hit by a two-month delay.
Instead of the original February 22 release date that was announced during E3, the open-world game will now be releasing on April 26, 2019. Sony said that the delay was applied to avoid the "crowded February timeframe." The reasoning does make sense considering several AAA open-world games like Metro Exodus, Anthem, and Crackdown 3 (hopefully), all have launches planned for that month, with The Division 2 landing in March.
As usual with delays, Sony added that Bend Studio will be taking the extra time to apply further polish to the title.
Updates on three more upcoming PlayStation 4 exclusives were also shared. PlayStation VR game Déraciné by FromSoftware will be sticking to its schedule and releasing on November 6 later this year. Meanwhile, Concrete Genie and Everybody"s Golf VR will be hitting the console sometime in Spring 2019.
