popSLATE adds secondary e-ink display to your iPhone 6

The iPhone accessory market is saturated. There are literally thousands of options available and another several hundred companies releasing new items every year. But popSLATE Media isn"t aiming to be just another accessory company. Last year, they proved this by launching a successful campaign for their popSLATE case on Indiegogo. Luckily, if you happened to miss the initial campaign, the company is now offering their e-ink case directly from their site for the iPhone 6, 5 and 5S.

What makes the popSLATE case special is its inclusion of a functional 4" shatterproof e-ink display on the back. Since the e-ink display requires little power to actually display an image, the secondary screen can be used to load various picture data like maps, QR codes, reward cards, and more. Although the case does not have an e-ink touchscreen like the one found on the YotaPhone 2, it can sense taps via the accelerometer which can be used to control the displayed images.

Naturally, the case does require a power, but can be charged using any microUSB cable. By charging the case"s 240mAh internal battery, the display will roughly stay powered for 7 days. The case is currently available directly from popSLATE Media in black and white and r?etails for $129 USD.
