Earlier this month, Microsoft introduced the capability to embed Power BI paginated reports in other applications. Then, last week, the tech giant introduced this month"s update to the desktop version of its data analytics service.
Microsoft"s September update for the Power BI Developer community brought a couple of new embed capabilities, automation & life-cycle management changes, and an About feature for the visuals platform. With regards to the November update just announced, however, the changelog is more extensive, with a total of 10 new and improved features being added to the service.
The following list covers all the changes that have been introduced as part of the latest update:

Dynamic binding enables developers to connect a single report template across multiple datasets, with information displayed according to the dataset it"s connected to at any particular moment. Usage of this feature has been showcased in the gif above. Support for shared datasets across all embedding solutions, meanwhile, has allowed for expansion of the Rebind report REST API and the Clone report REST API. As far as APIs are concerned, a new one to help embed Power BI content into applications for customers has also been introduced. And finally, context menu support for the visuals platform has been announced as well. The capability, which has been recommended for its ability "to provide a unified and smooth experience", will be added as a requirement for the submission process for new visuals and updates to existing ones after a few months.
