Today, HTC announced that the 128GB variant of the U11 will be available for pre-order beginning at midnight Eastern Time, priced at $729. Originally announced back in May, the device packs Qualcomm"s latest Snapdragon 835 chipset, and the new model not only has more storage, but it also bumps up the RAM from 4GB to 6GB.
The handset also includes the company"s Edge Sense feature, and HTC says that it"s the first smartphone to include hands-free Alexa. Along with that, the 12MP rear camera got a score of 90 from DxOMark.
The firm is also offering a number of deals on its other products until August 7. The U Ultra will be $250 off, bringing the price down to $499. As we noted in our review, the $749 price tag doesn"t make sense when the U11 is $100 cheaper and still better in almost every way.
HTC says that its 2016 flagship, the 10, will be $300 off, so it will be priced at $399. It"s worth noting that these are discounts from the handsets" original prices, as the 10 is currently sold for $499. When we reviewed the 10 though, we thought it was excellent. Finally, the company will be offering $180 off of the UA Healthbox.
