Bethesda announced a Prey reboot at E3 2016, and the title was released to the public in 2017. The game was generally well-received among gamers and critics alike, who praised it gameplay mechanics and the immersive experience it presented.
At its E3 event today, Bethesda has announced a new game update and two DLCs; one of which will also be available in VR.
The game update brings three new game modes: Story Mode, New Game +, and Survival Mode.
Meanwhile, the Mooncrash DLC offers "infinite replayability", with its dynamic enemies and other dangers. The title"s Steam Store listing states that:
In Prey: Mooncrash, TranStar’s secret moon base stopped transmitting shortly after the events of Prey. Now Peter, a hacker stationed aboard a spy satellite tasked with intercepting TranStar communications, must find out why. Trapped and under a ruthless contract with KASMA Corp, Peter’s only hope of ever seeing his family again is uncovering the moon base’s lost secrets.
Both the updates will be available starting today. Although the first one will be free of cost, Mooncrash will retail for $20. You can check out the announce trailer below:
Lastly, there is another DLC update due this year as well. Typhon Hunter will allow players to combat against five others, who"ll be playing as mimics. The DLC is slated to arrive later this summer and will offer a VR experience, that will enable players to solve puzzles as well.
