It has been 10 years since a Prince of Persia game has come out of Ubisoft, and that is finally changing soon, as the massively popular 2003 classic Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time is getting a remake. During the Ubisoft Forward presentation today, the company unveiled the project with a brand new trailer, catch it above.
The remake is being developed by Ubisoft"s Pune and Mumbai studios, with the graphics, camera, combat system, and environments being overhauled, while completely new cinematic sequences have been implemented as well. The original voice actor of the Prince, Yuri Lowenthal, is returning for the remake as well.
Ubisoft is also including the original 1989 Prince of Persia into the package, playable straight from the main menu.
Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake is slated to launch on PC (Epic Games Store and Uplay), Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PlayStation 4, and will be available on January 21, 2021. It will land with a $39.99 price tag and will also be playable on next-gen consoles through backward compatibility.
