'Prospekt' is a new sequel arriving for Half-Life next month

If you"ve been hankering for a new Half-Life sequel (no! I"m sadly not talking about Half-Life 3), you"re in luck, as an indie developer will be releasing a new title that will focus on Adrian Shephard from Half-Life: Opposing Force.

The original Half-Life was a critical and commercial success that spawned a couple of interesting expansions: Half-Life: Opposing Force and Half-Life: Blue Shift (also Half-Life: Decay, but we won"t count that since it was an exclusive to PS2). Both of these titles offered a different perspective on what occurred at Black Mesa and utilized different protagonists.

Richard Seabrook, a motivated developer, has taken the past two years to create a sequel of his own, titled Prospekt. The game will focus on the protagonist from "Opposing Force" and will continue the storyline originally created by Gearbox. The Steam page has a short description of the title which is down below.

Prospekt begins in the Nova Prospekt prison in the Half-Life universe. Gordon Freeman is slowly being overrun by soldiers in the prison, however unknown to him, his Vortigaunt allies manage to find some help from a forgotten hero.

Prospekt is currently available for pre-order for $8.99 and will be available next month for $9.99 USD. The title is a standalone game and does not require users to own or have Half-Life 2 installed.
