ProtonVPN recently announced that it has added support for some video streaming services on its ProtonVPN Plus servers in the United States. The websites that are now supported include Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon Prime Video U.S. In order to access the Plus servers, you’ll need a ProtonVPN Plus or Visionary account, which you can buy.
In the announcement, ProtonVPN wrote:
“At ProtonVPN, we strongly believe in online privacy and security. The practice of blocking VPNs by popular streaming services puts the security and privacy of millions of people at risk, forcing them to turn off their VPN to access content.
We are pleased to announce that ProtonVPN Plus servers in the US now support streaming Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon Prime Video US. That means you no longer need to compromise your security and privacy while watching your favorite shows or movies.”
In the email, ProtonVPN also confirmed that it plans to bring support for more services but at this time hasn’t announced which ones. So, if you’re looking for a VPN you can get ProtonVPN Plus for $96/€96 per year with the full knowledge that you’ll be able to stream from the U.S. editions of Netflix, Hulu, and Prime Video.
